Work Packages

The undertaking of fundamental research includes the following work packages:

• Work Package 1 - Project management and development of scientific potential
Objectives: Effective management of the project, management of the quality of the results, increasing the scientific potential of the developing team, increasing the international relations of the developing team.
• Work Package 2 - Conducting research related to the development of a multi-criteria system for modelling the routes of urban passenger transport (Routing Modelling)
Objectives: Fundamental research related to the development of a multi-criteria system for the selection of transport technologies in urban passenger transport.
• Work Package 3 - Conducting scientific research related to mathematical modelling of the organization of the management of traffic flows through intersections regulated by traffic lights (Modelling of traffic flows through intersections)
Objectives: Fundamental research related to mathematical modelling of transport flows.
• Work Package 4 - Conducting research related to modelling the impact of traffic congestion in urban conditions on environmental pollution and traffic safety
Objectives: Fundamental research related to mathematical modelling of the sections with traffic congestion (Modelling the impact of traffic congestion).
• Work Package 5 - Conducting experimental studies. Adequacy Check (Experimental Studies)
Objectives: Establishing connections and dependencies related to the management of transport flows; the energy and environmental efficiency of transport.
• Work Package 6 - Study of the influence of gaseous fuels on the parameters of the combustion process and the power-economic and environmental indicators of internal combustion engines (Study of gaseous fuels)
Objectives: Establish relationships and dependencies for the application of hydrogen, methane and propane-butane in internal combustion engines for urban transportation.
• Work Package 7 - Study of the influence of middle distillate fuels from Bulgarian raw materials to increase their environmental efficiency (Study of middle distillate fuels)
Objectives: Establishing relationships and dependencies to improve the environmental parameters of diesel fuels.
• Work Package 8 - Dissemination of results
Objectives: Quality management of results, dissemination of information and results of the project to the general public and potential users.
