Working meeting of the teams from RU "A. Kanchev" and TU - Sofia at the Technical University of Sofia

At the meeting, the partners exchanged experience regarding the equipment for measuring environmental indicators that are used in the Department of Transport, Faculty of Transport of the University of Ruse and in the Faculty of Transport of Technical University of Sofia. Prof. Asenov introduced the partners to the work with equipment that is used for work on the project. Prof. Stoilova informed that for work on the project with the funds from the additional financing, in Technical University of Sofia, Faculty of Transport has been equipped a measuring complex consisting of a flow meter for measuring the volume of gases; gas analyzer, complete with opacimeter; device for measuring the concentration of particles in exhaust gas emissions; device for external measurement of exhaust gas emissions and air condition; universal amplifier; software for the "Universal Amplifier". The measuring complex is used to carry out experimental studies in real conditions. Studies were conducted for seven areas with heavy traffic in Sofia.

Meeting of the team from Rousse University with teachers and students of Vilnius Technical University in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania

The following persons participated in the meeting from the University of Ruse: Prof. Asen Asenov, Prof. Ivan Hristov Beloev, Asst. Dr. Eng. Stanimir Penev, PhD student M. Eng. Kremena Mineva and PhD student M. Aleksandar Georgiev.

The meeting discussed the presentation of the project to students and teachers from Gediminas Vilnius Technical University in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania by Prof. C. Pencheva and Prof. A. Asenov. The lecturers from Lithuania expressed a desire for cooperation, in which an exchange of doctoral students under the Erasmus program would be carried out in order to deepen scientific research between the two universities related to transport. It is planned to promote the project activities among lecturers and students from the Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi, Georgia in October 2024 by Prof. Pencheva and Prof. Asenov during their visit there.

Working Meeting 29.07.2024, Burgas, Prof. D-r Asen Zlatarov University

On 29.07. 2024, a working meeting was held at the University "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" - Burgas between team members from the partner organizations Ruse University "Angel Kanchev" and University "Prof. D-r Asen Zlatarov" and the coordinator of the research team prof. Svetla Stoilova, DSc from the appling organization "Technical University of Sofia".

Issues related to the implementation of tasks during the first stage of the project and the plan for publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science were discussed.

Prof. Stoilova introduced the team members to the visits and workshops held at the Technical University of Sofia with Assoc. Martin Kendra and PhD student Daniel Pribula from the University of Žilina, Slovakia, who are from the team of the base organization

Working Meeting 15.07-19.07. 2024, Sofia, Technical University

In the period 15.07 - 19.07. 2024, a working meeting took place at the Technical University, Faculty of Transport between team members from the base organization "Technical University-Sofia" and Assoc. Prof. Martin Kendra - a team member from the University of Žilina - Slovakia.

A plan for the implementation of the tasks during the first stage of the project was discussed. A discussion was held regarding the equipment used to evaluate the ecological efficiency of transport, simulation software, mathematical optimization methods at the University of Žilina and the equipment purchased for the implementation of the project by TU-Sofia, for the study of ecology in urban conditions. The work of the working group established by TU-Sofia and the University of Žilina on scientific research projects and the possibilities for joint participation in international scientific research projects were discussed.

During the social program of the visit, Assoc. Prof. Martin Kendra visited the Rila Monastery "St. John of Rila", which is among the most significant cultural monuments in Bulgaria, a symbol of the country, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Vitosha Nature Park was also visited.

On 21.05.2024, a working meeting took place at the Technical University, Faculty of Transport between team members from the base organization "Technical University-Sofia" and Eng. Daniel Pribula - team member from the University of Žilina - Slovakia, PhD student.

A plan for the implementation of the tasks during the first stage of the project and the plan for the publications in world databases (Scopus, Web of Science) related to the implementation of the project were discussed.
