Management

The project management structure comprises:

  • Project Leader (Coordinator)
  • Management Board
  • Team Leaders
  • Leaders of Working Groups.

The project coordinator is responsible for:

  • Full technical and financial management of the project.
  • Efficient project administration.
  • Overall coordination of activities.
  • Communication with the National Science Fund.
  • Preparation of reports to the National Science Fund.

The Management Board consists of Teams leaders, Leaders of Working Groups under the management of the Project Coordinator. Its task is to control the development and implementation of the project.

The Management Board meets four times a year, deals with problems that require immediate resolution, and will be responsible for:

  • Project management.
  • Management and monitoring of all aspects during project development.
  • Making decisions on emerging issues and conflicts.

Team Leaders for each of partner organization:

Each partner (University "Angel Kanchev" of Ruse and University “Prof. A. Zlatarov”-Burgas) appoint a person responsible for the project, who manages, organizes and is responsible for the organization of the project to the relevant team, coordinates the activities with the coordinator and prepares the documents needed for a general presentation/reporting job. He/she organizes, manages and reports the project activities to the partners.

The working groups are formed according to the work packages for the implementation of the project and the specific research work.

The following working groups are foreseen, in accordance with the work program, the work packages, the topics and the objectives of the project:

  • Routing modelling: Modelling of urban passenger transport routes. The working group will carry out basic scientific research related to the routing of urban passenger transport.

  • Intersections: Modelling the organization of traffic flow management through intersections regulated by traffic lights. The working group will carry out basic scientific research related to modelling and research on the organization of transport flow management.

  • Heavy traffic: Modelling the impact of traffic congestion in urban conditions on environmental pollution and traffic safety. The working group will conduct basic scientific research related to the modelling and study of congested traffic in an urban environment.

  • Experiments. The working group will conduct experimental research related to the energy efficiency of transport, observations of transport flows, and additional experimental work related to the project theme.

  • Gaseous Fuels. The working group will conduct a study of the influence of gaseous fuels on the parameters of the combustion process and the power-economic and environmental indicators of internal combustion engines. The following gaseous fuels will be investigated: hydrogen, propane-butane, methane.

  • Middle distillate fuels. The working group will carry out laboratory research to optimize the processes of desulfurization and dearomatization of gas oil fractions obtained from Bulgarian raw materials.
